Steven Swee
Prior to his time at AoPS, Steven earned his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with minors in literature and mathematics from UC San Diego. While the likelihood of solving engineering problems, reading stories, and calculating the odds of success of hard work all at the same time seems marginal at best, conditioned on the desire to learn and teach, the posterior belief that Steven holds is that with enough imagination, creativity, and practice, one can achieve great success. Having tutored all levels of high school math, chemical engineering, and statistics/data science, Steven strives to help students improve their problem-solving skills. Outside of teaching, Steven enjoys performing research, spontaneously going out to community events, and probably writing probability puns.

What do they love most about their students? Ah, that’s where the magic truly sparkles. Every student is a treasure trove of curiosity and passion, capable of turning even the gloomiest of days into a comedy of errors (in the best possible way, of course). So, if you’re ever in need of a linguistic adventure or a dramatic twist to your learning journey, look no further than Miss Nona.
